Billie Eilish just released her first album, titled When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?. She has been part of the new pop era, fusing a little bit dubstep, R&B, and a pop. Billie herself is a character of her own, she’s not afraid to express herself, somehow I could say that her songs sometimes have a darker tone to it, but it’s pleasant at the same time.

Her music always has an interesting topic, such as All the Good Girls Go to Hell, My Strange Addiction, Bury A Friend, those are titles that most of the people are not really having in mind. Some of her songs are even having eerie soundtrack behind it but at the same time, it makes the listeners wanting to listen to the songs even more. Her song Bury A Friend is actually my most favourite part, the visuals of the music video are just amazing, the questioning parts of the song almost remind me of seeing the “unseen”, or monster, but at the same time it can lead you to a different interpretation.

Her music able to make me dive deeper into my own self, and questioning myself. She relatively not scared of being judged by the community. It can be seen that through her music, she’s talking about her rejected love in wish you were gay. Or maybe the song my strange addiction.

I personally think that Billie is going to show more of her own artistry in the future, she’s brave to what she feels like, I love her spooky ness because I hate and love spooky things at the same time, she made me curious as a fan, and I think that’s the most important thing as an artist.
