+21 savage’s i am > i was album review+

Not so long ago, at the end of 2018, 21 Savage released an album called i am > i was there are numerous collaborations provided on this album, of them is called a lot featuring J. Cole, name like Post Malone, Lil Baby, Gunna also popped out on the album’s track.

The first visual video that came out from the album is a lot the thing with the lyrics is that, there are numerous word a lot, in the lyrics there are topics like problems, money, prayers, hardships that sometimes put our lives in questions…And in the music video there’s a family gathering, through dinner, having this lavish house, expensive steak, but there are hardship hitting the family like the funeral. There are times that we prayed but it didn’t get any answer, or its just not the right time (but keep praying guys..trust me) The song talking about the hardship in life..and yuppp even someone like 21 savage also experiencing a hard time in life.

the next song is called all my friends is talking about the hardship on paving the success, because at the end of the day there’s a sacrifice when you want to change your life, probably we’re going to loose some friends. And finding real friends are also difficult, because some people just left us when we are at our down time, and with money it does sometimes bringing us some friends, but they’re not the real friends.

Last but not least is the song called monster, which featuring Childish Gambino, who made the hit This Is America. On this song, both artists are writing on how money could change someone else, but in my personal experience, money fame, politics, and religion can change someone to either bad or good, so I think the song does make sense to me. But at the same time some people are also loosing their own value as a human being, because they only care about money, both artists are also talking about the difficulties that they experienced in their neighbourhood including gun violence.

let me know what do you think about 21 savage ?
